Burn Treatment
In terms of burns, 10% of people burned will require hospitalisation within AU and NZ.
In WA in 2014, the statistics for burns that was admitted to RPH:
- 226 adult admissions and 4 readmissions to RPH
- Flames 42.3%
- Scalds 30.2%
- Contact 7.1%
- Chemical 9.1%
There were 3387 burn patients being seen in the outpatient clinic setting.
