What causes Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile Dysfunction can have many causes that are either physical or psychological. Reduction of blood supply to the penis is mainly due to arterial sclerosis. Reduced blood supply is the most common physical cause of the erectile dysfunction.

Erectile Dysfunction

How Do Erections Occur?

Hormones, blood supply. nerves and a desire are required for a man to achieve an erection.

If one or more of these mechanisms fail then the erection will also fail. Physical or psychological stimulation, or arousal, results in significant blood flow to the penis.

The arteries in the penis supply blood to erectile tissue which becomes enlarged and erect. As the penis expands, it compresses the veins inhibiting blood flows out the penis, thus sustaining the erection.

Procedures

Dual Linear Shockwave Therapy

Unlike other current treatment options for ED, Linear Shockwave Therapy is unique in that it aims to restore the erectile mechanism in order to enable natural or spontaneous erections.

Patented MoreNovaED improves ease and comfort of applying Linear Shockwave for ED treatment, originally introduced by Renova. The reconfigured model includes dual channels for coupling energy to treated regions. Soft-locking of penile shaft assures accurate positioning and stable energy coupling.

MoreNovaED offers quick, painless therapy using low-intensity linear shockwaves creating Neovascularization which stimulates angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. Improving blood flow to the region is a significant contributor to erectile function.

Treatment consists of non-invasive, low-intensity sound waves that pass through erectile tissue, restoring natural erectile function by the growth of new blood vessels. The treatment treats the underlying cause and not just the symptom.
